1/2 tsp instant dry yeast
1/2 tbsp soft brown sugar
90g glutinous rice flour
40g soft brown sugar
1 tbsp coconut oil
80g gula melaka (dissolve 80g of gula melaka in 2 tbsp of water over low heat)
** if the dough is too dry, can add more water
Mix all main dough ingredients together and add in the sponge dough. Knead till get a dough.
Grease palm and divide dough into 8 or 10 equal portions .
Shape into a ball and place on the greased banana leaf. Press down gently.
Proof for 30 Mins.
Bring a pot of water to boil and steam the dough over high heat for 12 mins.
