Nutella Butter Cake

113g unsalted butter
100g caster sugar
3 eggs
120g cake flour
2 tbsp milk powder
1 tbsp corn syrup or honey or maple syrup
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp baking powder

Some Nutella

  1. Beat butter with sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Sift flour, milk powder and baking powder together and add half of this into the butter mixture. Mix briefly to combine, add corn syrup, lemon juice, salt, vanilla and mix with low speed until combine.  
  4. Add the balance flour and beat on low speed until evenly mixed.
  5. Pour half of the batter to the greased/lined baking pan and level it.
  6. Scoop a few tablespoon of Nutella and place evenly and pour the balance of the batter to cover.
  7. Bake in the pre-heated 170C oven for 45 minutes or until evenly brown.
  8. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before unmoulding and cool on the rack.
